So many ads in WordPress

anything relevant to writing/publishing with my WordPress site is pushed to the bottom of the page by ads, ads, and more ads
Yes! Please let me NAG my visitors!
WordPress isn’t a publishing platform – it’s an advertising program targeting webmasters.
I would rather that you not use my own website to spam me a million times a day.
Especially since I turned off all the email updates and then they mysteriously turned themselves back on…
Is there even a word for “spam that you see within your own site’s admin panel”???
A dashboard of ads for services, covered by a request for me to tweet about them and sign up to get emails from them.
At least in their favor, their cache plugin seems to be the best of the ones I’ve tried.
